It’s been a year since legionseagle died.

The anniversary was yesterday. I thought of her all day – how much I miss her kindness and her stories. So much happened during the year that I would have liked to email her. She left such a big hole in my life.

It was her humour and kindness that first drew me to her - we met at the Harry Potter convention in Orlando in around 2006. We were two of only five British people there, and that gave us an immediate bond.

Same here. I miss her EVERY DAY. Last week I started re-reading some of her stories on the AO3, and I could HEAR her wise Mancunian voice cracking the jokes. Aargh.

I hear what you say. I can't read her stories again yet - that will come, but not right now.

I only found out earlier this year - she died about the same time as my mother, so I wasn't really paying attention to fandom at the time!
My only interaction with her was with the odd discussion in comments and it catches me at odd moments that I'll never see more her incisive analysis of fannish and political matters or any new instalments of her Gondal series, so I can only imagine how much worse it is for those of you who really knew her.

I think of her, and her stories, all the time! Her absence left a hole in fandom, even for those like me who never got to meet her in person.
