Update

I had a new washing machine (washer/dryer) delivered today and my nerves are in shreds.

It’s not that the chaps from ao.com weren’t good, because they were, but we had to take the…I don’t know what you call them (baseboards?) off from the bottom of the units, and they had been put on as whole lengths, and glued in place.

Where I lived before, the baseboards were fixed on with clips, and I thought these would be the same, but they’d been screwed in and glued. Massive hassle.

But I now have a nice new washing machine. Go me.

Smokey didn’t like having strangers in the house, and hid. She’s like that.

Yes, definitely. A working washer is a must.

I didn't know you lived in Wales! Yes, to the end of travel restrictions and us being able to get together.

About half an hour’s drive from you and on a direct bus route! We’ve been here for about five years now.
