Does anyone who plays Dragon Age: Origins have any advice about killing dragons?

The one on the top of the mountain and the one cunningly pretending to be a woman have so far beaten my characters like eggs for an omlette. In fact, not only have they beaten them, they've chewed them up and spit them out, in a few cases literally. Am I just going after them too soon?

There's one pretending to be a woman? Where? I never found that one. :D

I've gone against the mountain dragon in casual mode, after finishing three side quests for dwarves/elves/mages, with two tanks, one rogue, and a healer in the party. I got PWNed pretty hard and was eventually left with healer (Wynne) only, running around and ducking the fiery spit, occasionally zapping the dragon with her bolts. It took awhile but she made it.

I had just about as much trouble with that dragon as I did with the tentacly zombie-spawning queen in the dwarven caverns. Ugh. Perhaps select your party based on fire-resistance gear, stock up on healing potions, and fill everyone's strategy slots to the max?

Strategy tips, though not my own:

My best strategy involves controlling Wynne, if you don't have a mage PC (or your mage-PC doesn't have healing spells). Go in with an insane number of potions and heal heal heal heal heal. Let the AI do the killing.
