I just took my hearing aids out because I’m trying to watch TV and the social club across the road from my home has just started to play host to live music. With my aids in, the TV and the music were an absolute jumble.
I wore my aids to knit group on Thursday, having put new batteries in the day before, but could barely hear others in the group because of a bunch of young people (I think mostly men, but couldn't see them) in the next section of the lounge, who kept bursting out into shouting and laughter and half-deafening me. Yvonne & I spent a while trying to tweak settings, without much success. MORE success on the Friday, when I went for a check-up of the aids, and I mentioned that they didn't feel as though they were sitting right (especially when wearing a face mask!), and the technician - different woman from last time - took a look, and has fitted longer tubes and larger domes to the aids, and they feel a LOT more comfortable.
