Well, one piece of good news, I’ve bought some mattresses for my bedrooms, including a new one for myself, and my pet handyman Jimmy (he’s not cheap but he’s hugely helpful) cheerfully moved mattresses around and put them on beds and so on. So good news for my visitors.
I’ve also invested in some chairs for sitting outside and a table which will double for cutting out and for sitting outside and putting drinks and crispy things on. The guests I’m expecting in June, and the two lots I’m having in August are the most spoiled I’ve ever hosted. Let’s hope it’s sunny.

My new mattress means my bed is higher than it was, and Smokey is finding the jump a bit more difficult. I may have to buy her some steps to climb up on, just for her not to use them.
