Gaming - Baldur's Gate 3

I've been playing Baldur's Gate III. I don't think I'm very good at this game.

My character had a dog, which was nice. His name was Scratch. On arrival in the city he found the original owner of this dog. What I wanted to do was pay her for the dog, but my dice rolls went against me and we ended up in a silly fight.

I accidentally killed the previous owner of the dog, and the dog, and three guards, and two of my party ended up in prison. In BGIII you run a party of four people.

In order to get out of prison one of the characters ran out of thieves' tools and blew down the door with a misfiring wand of fireballs.

We have been invited to an investiture by a Big Bad, but don't want to go.

One of my friends was horrified that I accidentally killed the dog. So am I, really. I liked the dog a lot and would have plaid handfuls of gold to keep it.
