Smokey is back from the vet.

The good news is that her blood tests showed no sign of pancreatitis, which was the vet's best guess at what was wrong with her.

The less good news is that she had pain in her tummy, but no clue what might be causing it.

The vet gave her an injection for pain which should last eight hours and prescribed special food for gastrointestinal problems. Needless to say, costs an arm and a leg. I bought some from them to keep us going until I get some from Amazon.

If she continues to throw up, the next step is an x-ray. We don’t want that. A general anaesthetic in a sixteen year old cat is not ideal.

Her behaviour was mixed. She was a sweetheart for the blood test and the injection, but when they tried to put her back in her basket, another cat had upset her and she tried to take a chunk out of the vet.
