I have just done the first batch of shopping online which will be delivered to the new house. I couldn't get a delivery for next week so will have to live off what I have, or brave the shops.
That's a good thought. And there is a Londis (corner shop) about 100m away, an Aldi just up the road and an M&S a few metres further on. So I have a choice of shops. M&S looks a likely choice.
A very 21st century threshold event! Moving to my current apartment took more than a week (partly because it went at the same time as a then-girlfriend's health issues), and for a few days I had go back and forth between apartments because I would forget the keys to the right one.
I'm not sure what's happening about the keys to my new place. I expect that I'll have to arrange to be there with the estate agent for the keys to be handed over. I just made the final payments. It's really real now.
