Update

Smokey is bullying me; I have scratches all up my right arm from my wrist to my elbow. I push her away when she starts, but sometimes I’m half asleep. Today she wanted to be fed at 03:50, which was so not going to happen. She is still on her kitty diet - we’re both trying to lose weight, but Smokey is succeeding because I refuse to overfeed her.

My boss suggested I close my bedroom door, but if I do that she howls and cries and throws herself at the door in such a heartrending way that I give up and open the door again, if only to get some sleep. She doesn’t even like me shutting her out of the bathroom but sits and meows pitifully as if she’s afraid that the water demon (the shower) will somehow hurt me.

Yesterday I worked from home, and she spent the day on the bed, asleep. I mean, what’s the point of having a cat if they don’t come and keep you company? She’s an ingrate. There am I, working my fingers to the bone, and does she give me cuddles? Does she hell.

Still, I love my kitty.

Apropos my post of the other day, I think I’ve found two players for Call of Cthulhu from a group I take part in on FaceBook. We can but hope.

Cats are complicated and definitely a cause of sleep deprivation (which is so unfair considering they sleep most of the day away while we are at work), but worth it.

Mine bully too but fortunately so far without claws - although a drooly purring face headbutting one in the eye is not without its own delights!

I see what you mean about the tags. Your cat sounds sweet - but I'm not the one being headbutted.
