Today, while deciding when to get up (I'm having a day's leave) I dropped my mobile phone on my eye and have bruised it.

It hurts.

In other news

We've been having fun and games with Smokey, who got a second round of some kind of cat cystitis. She had to go to the vet last week and was given an anti-inflammatory (Metacam) which she loathes. Persuading her to eat has been an uphill struggle, but I seem to have finally won out.

Poor kitty.

Oh, poor kitty indeed. I hope she's soon feeling a lot better.

And poor you. Those things HURT when they drop like that. (I dropped my ipad on my foot once, which I do not recommend.)

Having dropped my mobile on my face before while nodding off I feel sorry for both of you. ♥

I was lying down in bed and just checking "one last thing" before going to sleep with my phone held up over my face. It would have been fine if I hadn't nodded off and dropped it. Graceful, I am not. :D

In the days before mobile phones, my mother once woke up at night, used her torch to look for something (way to the loo? the time? I don't know), turned the torch off and put it on the bedside table ... and poked herself in the eye with one finger/thumb AFTER doing so! The eye was extremely red, and her vision was blurry; I drove her to the GP, who said she should be fine in a few days...

I hope both you and Smokey will be feeling better soon!
