How long must I have been overpaying for home contents insurance?

I finally decided to check today, and I've saved £300 on my home contents insurance by doing an online check on cost.

Plus, I've paid it in one lump, which saves me even more. Cuts out one direct debit.

They do, and they'd done it year on year - I'd been with the same company, though not buying the same product since I was at university.
