No sooner is my broadband mended than I fall down the stairs at the flat* and sprain my ankle. I was going in to work tomorrow, but will now work from home instead.

* I was taking my dead printer to put it out for the council to dispose of under the terms of the WEEE directive. Thus proving no good deed goes unpunished.

No, this is something O2 have instituted. Must Protect The Kiddies, you know. The only way to get around it is to have a credit card (which I don't) to do it online, or visit an O2 shop & prove your age there - last time I managed to get into a shop with proof of the dongle's 'phone number', the 'system was down', and the staff seemed completely unable to do it by phone. And now of course it's Christmas and I have very little chance of getting to the O2 shop in Swansea tomorrow even assuming it's open. I've raised a protesting e-mail, which I suspect will not be answered till next week and will superciliously tell me to try at a shop again...

I suspect you have your LJ marked as 'adult content', which is what's doing it. Goodness knows how many other people's LJs this will affect for me - I won't know till I try. Oddly, there are other pages that are perfectly OK! (Like, for instance, the Snupin Santa site...)
