Dear Facebook

I suspect the person you keep asking me to "friend" is my ex-husband. Unfortunately there is no way of telling for sure as he seems to be there under a pseudonym almost certainly because he suspects I'm there.

If I friend him there will be ructions. Please, please stop.

You're no friend of mine,

Lexin.

ETA: I've blocked him. I can't see him, he can't see me. Perfect.

You can block him so he can't even see you exist on FB and you won't see him at all or have FB suggest you friend him.

Took me ages to find the 'block' option - they don't make it obvious, do they?

No, they totally don't. I blocked a few people when I joined. All ex-bfs.

If you've seen my recent entry I'm having some trouble of a similar kind.
I blocked him-you can do on your privacy settings- and that's been great for my peace of mind.

I only keep a facebook to keep my name;and only one person I know has ever asked to friend it.

I don't know if the others are mistakes (someone keeps leaving messages on my "realish name" journal, clearly under the impression that I'm someone else despite my attempts to send them on to the similarly named journal that has them friended), spam or phishing attmpts, but I just block them and they never come back.
