My first day of freedom from the Horrible Job today. Much joy.
I had a cleaner over and we spent the morning cleaning my kitchen, which now looks lovely. Eventually the whole house will look like that, but I’m taking it in stages – she’s coming back in two weeks and we’ll get on with the living room.
My handyman is coming to do the spare room which is full of boxes, but those don’t need emptying in most cases because they hold the DVD collection and I don’t use the hardcopy DVDs, just the soft copies I’ve ripped to external hard drives. So they just need storing in their boxes in a cupboard.
Tomorrow I’m going to clean the living room floor and then play Skyrim on my PS4.
Retirement has a lot going for it.
