Three good things have happened today, both of which fill me with quiet pleasure.

Firstly, I bought some writing software which has encouraged me to write 1000 words on my Elrond/Thranduil story about them meeting in Valinor. That's a move forward as I'd been stalled.

Secondly, I managed to find (remember) my Fanfiction.net password. Remember fanfiction.net? Well, I sort of do, and not being able to get into my account was an occasional niggle. Not a day in day out niggle, just something that irritated me when I remembered it. So I spent some time today working through the options for the email address and password combinations that it could be. And, in the end, I found it.

Thirdly, I finally put the 'missing' story of mine on AO3. I've finally accepted that I've lost touch with the co-writer (some fan called Tidmag) and just put it up on my account. Maybe she'll get in touch, maybe she won't, but that won't be niggling at me, either. I only wrote it in 2006...

So that's it.

I don't know why someone had to point out to me that there would be Bilbo/Thorin MPREG, but they did. Perhap my mind is too highly trained.

I particularly recommend this story: http://archiveofourown.org/works/682108 because of the unique birthing practises of the hobbits. Totally fun story.

I've been playing Dragon Age 2 pretty much over the last few days, and even got poor [livejournal.com profile] clare_nce to play when she came over on Tuesday. I was wondering what she'd do, but as I told her, her character made more or less the same decisions as mine did: choose the polite and sympathetic option where possible. Maybe it's to do with being women, I don't know. Possible spoilers )

At the same time, I'm also trying to read Sherlock stories, but I'm being quite picky. 'Not Brit picked, not beta'd' doesn't cut it, I'm afraid, unless heavily recommended by trustworthy parties.

ETA: * I've found out why this is.

Vampires are not usually my cup of tea, but there's an unusually well thought out Sherlock vampire AU here. The same writer has what looks like an unfinished sequel, too.

Still lacking arranged marriage AU's. Sigh.

9 must choose between 13 and 14: what's the choice, and which one does 9 choose? )

[personal profile] aunty_marion aske me:
2 and 14 are on a date, having a picnic, when they are rudely interrupted by 7. What's his/her problem, and can 8 solve it? )

Now for [personal profile] watervole's effort:
What did 6 buy 2 for his birthday? )

And finally, [personal profile] hardboiledbaby asked me:
What secret do #11 and #5 share that they don't want #1 to know? )
