Overnight

Up at a sparrow's fart after a very disturbed night. Smokey (for it was she) came and "slept" on my bed.

This "sleeping" involved wanting fuss every hour on the hour, then going to sleep for an hour on my feet, rinse and repeat all through the night until about 4am, when she disappeared to sleep properly because it was clearly all too much for a simple cat to cope with.

She's currently behind the sofa (I think) having a kip, whereas I'm up and looking at my work laptop through bleary eyes.

The good news, though, is that she's eating and is using her litter tray just fine. (By the way, thank you shezan for recommending that kind of litter tray. It's very much easier for me to cope with and Smokey just loves it.)

We are having something of a Mexican standoff about dry cat food. She's not keen (despite being fed it at the RSPCA) whereas I think it should form the mainstay of a cat's diet and is good for her teeth. We'll see who has the stomach for the fight. So to speak.
