Camera?

The other thing I meant to talk about while I was here is my desire for a new camera, which is growing on me.

One of my gaming friends bought the Nikon Coolpix P510 Digital Camera and was showing it off. His is black (or was it gunmetal?) and it looked like a really cool camera.

I have to say, though, that he and a friend were geeking about its capabilities, but my sole contribution to the discussion was: "Look! It comes in red!" which gained me a slightly condescending look from both of them. Somehow I don't think the colour is meant to be a major factor.

Having said that, I'm very tempted to buy one for my birthday in April. What do people think? I have no idea how to compare and contrast cameras.

I wouldn't be using it for video, btw. Or only for very short sections of video, a minute or two at the most. I've never used my current camera for video even though it does do it, or so I'm told.

Epetition - Richard III

I draw to your hopeful attention an epetition asking the government to lay Richard III (newly discovered under a car park etc, etc) to rest in York Minster, rather than in Leicester.

I view York as a far more fitting place for him than Leicester, with which place he had little to do in life.
