Been back since Saturday, but I was exhausted from travelling that day and I spent yesterday with a sick headache. Don't know why, but I did. So am finally updating today.
The pictures from Yorkshire are here. They are in reverse order for some reason, the newest are first and the oldest last so move backwards from page 6.
As for the week, the first day we were there which was Sunday
cushy and I went to Rievaulx Abbey, which was lovely. We had a beautiful day for it and it was a lovely place and a lovely setting. Very peaceful.
clare_nce joined us and we went to Whitby for the day, including Whitby Abbey. It was a bit of an abbey trip, actually, though we did throw in shopping as well.

We also went across the moors and saw the Hole of Horcum. My pictures aren't as good as this one.
Next day we went to Fountains Abbey. We didn't see any fountains (there's something to do with water there, but we didn't look at that) and it rained. We got very wet, but here is a picture anyway.
I didn't take many pictures of Fountains, it was too wet for my camera.
On Wednesday we went to York Minister.
. And we went all round York, shopping, including the highlight: tea at Bettys.
The rest of the trip was shopping, which I won't bore you with.
The only other remarkable thing was our cottage, which had a mill in the living room.
. Inconvenient in lots of ways, but a mill in the living room made up for it.
