Am back having travelled to Llandudno to see the tour of “I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue” at venue Cymru. It was brilliant - I really needed the laugh. The teams were Rory Bremner, Marcus Brigstocke, Pippa Evans and Tony Hawkes, with Jack Dee in the chair. Pippa Evans really can sing and Marcus Brigstocke is hilarious.

I stayed overnight in a B&B on the sea front but it was a longer walk than I expected from the venue so I took taxis after my first exhausting walk. I was also on the first floor despite having asked for ground, so lovely though the room was, if anything pops up at VC that I just can’t miss, I’ll find somewhere else.

The cats welcomed me home with yips of catty disapproval. I’ve fed them, but I think I’m going to be in their bad books for the rest of the day. I left them plenty of food last night, but clearly I am a dirty stop out.

Reminds me of my dad being given a room that required several steps to get to it - in spite of promises otherwise. He was using a walking frame at that point - so I'm guessing you two were probably pretty equal.

He managed, but I think my sister was giving him an awful of help that we didn't always see.

Glad the event was good, but I'm sorry you - and other people I knew - have been misled by promises of accessibility in hotels and other venues.
Cats are good with kitty disapproval. Except one cat I had, who was raised with puppies and acted like one. When I returned from a trip, he was bouncing all over me, while my other cat had her back turned to me. However, she kept on looking over her shoulder giving him dirty glares, clearly disapproving of his uncatlike behavior.

Due to injuries to my feet and left ankle, I have difficulty walking very far, and I have to go sideways up and down stairs, as long as there's a rail I can hold onto. People have no idea.

Thankfully, I live in a single story house, so all I have to manage is one step up the curb and two onto the porch. I can't step down or up with my left leg - the ankle bones are completely fused together and the foot bones almost so. I can wiggle my toes a little bit. I have some mobility in my right ankle, but the fusion in the right foot is more severe. Stairlifts are so important for people who need them. A friend had one installed several years ago, as her home is all on the upper floor, the ground floor being the garage. I use that stairlift every time I visit her.
