I have finally been sent my breast prosthetic. Go me. It’s rather good, and fits me much better than the temporary ‘cumfy’ things I had just after the operation. I avoided wearing those because they rubbed on the scar and that hurt a bit.

Getting it was fun in a not that much fun sort of a way. Someone tried to deliver it while I was in the shower, and left a note saying that I would need to collect it from a shop along Caernarfon Road. I tried to get it re-delivered and failed miserably.

So I decided to take the bus rather than book a taxi just go that far along Caernarfon Road. Getting the bus into Bangor was just fine. There are plenty of buses that go along that route. (Actually, getting to Caernarfon or Llandudno is quite straightforward, and there are two buses an hour at least that go to both places.)

Not along Caernarfon Road. Buses to Caernarfon do not go along that road, they go via Penrhosgarnedd and past the hospital. I got to the bus station at 09:30, and looked up when the next buses go from there along Caernarfon Road – 10:10 was the soonest. So I gave up and phoned for a taxi to take me, wait, and bring me back home. So I didn’t, as I had hoped to, get brunch at my favourite restaurant.

Smokey is a lovely, shiny kitty. She’s a good girl, as I keep telling her.

I feel it should be called a prosthetit. What a shame about the buses not letting you have brunch!
