Well and a happy new year to one and all.
I've been playing with cables under my desk, and I'm 99% sure that the problem is the power supply unit in the Vibox machine. I've re-installed my old XP machine and it's working fine with the same cables - as it has done these several years. So I don't think it's the power supply to my house.
I mean, it could be, but it seems unlikely as this machine has never exhibited the same problem, or anything approaching it.
This is so frustrating! We'll see what Vibox say when they re-open tomorrow.
