Vampires are not usually my cup of tea, but there's an unusually well thought out Sherlock vampire AU here. The same writer has what looks like an unfinished sequel, too.
Sadly, it's not written, as yet. I like the idea, but it's statistically a long shot that I'll finish it. The presence of "A Study in Pink" (AU'ed) as one chapter or so of the storyline complicates Just Writing It.
I hear you. I have at least 25 unfinished stories, which will never be finished because either I got out of the fandom, or the plot became too complicated to sustain. The idea of writing Sherlock scares me - I don't think I'm intelligent enough to come up with a suitable plot.
