Outcome of the character meme

I started with this list of characters, not of of whom were used.

(1) Capt William Laurence (Temeraire)
(2) Capt Jack Harkness (Torchwood)
(3) Stephen Clair, Earl of St Joseph (The Price of Temptation)
(4) Lt. David Archer (Ransom by Lee Rowan)
(5) Ianto Jones (Torchwood)
(6) Lord Oliver Marsden (Bound by Deception)
(7) The Doctor
(8) Sarah Jane Smith (Dr Who)
(9) Temeraire (Temeraire)
(10) Mr Darcy (Pride and Prejudice)
(11) Capt John Granby (Temeraire)
(12) Ace (Dr Who)
(13) Lt. Will Marshall (Ransom by Lee Rowan)
(14) Sejanus (I Claudius)
(15) Lt Kira Nerys (ST:DS9)

[profile] yonmei asked me:
3 and 7 are on holiday together in Italy. Unexpectedly, they meet 15. What happens as a result - in Italy, and afterwards?

Given the characters, the Doctor must have invited Stephen to go with him ("it's bigger on the inside than the outside!" "I know!") I can only assume that the rumours about the Doctor and Jack are true (they are!) and the Doctor rather fancied a few days in Italy with a dangerous Earl who makes no bones at all about preferring men.

Stephen would have been looking for excitement, but that's entirely in character for him – the balls and card parties of the ton can be so dull, and what a man needs is a bit of time travel to liven up his life.

That wormhole is responsible for a lot of hassle in the world and can be the only reason why Kira Nerys turns up. Well, these kinds of things happen to the Doctor, he was lucky it wasn't the cybermen, just one lost Major from DS9. The Doctor has to break off their holiday in order to return her to the station, taking Stephen with him and thus introducing him to people he could never have imagined even from having experienced Italy in the 1990s. His life is never the same again.

9 must choose between 13 and 14: what's the choice, and which one does 9 choose?

That's an easy one. Temeraire is a dragon and his experience thus far has been with naval officers. One in particular. Given a choice between an upright naval officer in Will Marshall and a Roman with designs on the Empire in Sejanus, he'd choose the one with whom he had the most sympathy. They would immediately set out searching for Will Laurence – Will is a strong minded man, but I don't give a rat's posterior for his chances of talking Temeraire out of it.

[personal profile] ellen_fremedon asked me:
#12 steals something from #6. What is it? What happens when #8 comes across it?

Oh, dearie me.

Ace steals from Lord Oliver Marsden. Well, Oliver is a sub in a D/S relationship – his biggest fondness is for dildoes and I can see Ace, if she were in his rooms, fascinated by his collection. She's steal his favourite large black marble one, to his intense fury and embarrassment.

Have Ace and Sarah Jane ever met? I can see the two of them making use of in various ways, once it's been suitably cleaned.

And they lived together happily ever after.

[personal profile] aunty_marion aske me:
2 and 14 are on a date, having a picnic, when they are rudely interrupted by 7. What's his/her problem, and can 8 solve it?

Captain Jack Harkness is on a picnic with Sejanus. I can only imagine that Sejanus asked him out (Captain Jack in a little tunic and a toga, be still my beating heart) in the hope of finding out more about him, specifically secrets from the far future. And we aren't talking how to make cement.

The Doctor interrupts just in time to prevent Jack from spilling the beans on the Rift near Cardiff, whatever Cardiff is called at that time. And I can see that Sejanus would happily move to the 'slapping him around a bit' theory of seduction if Jack proved obdurate. This is obviously the fourth (or fifth but I go for the fourth) Doctor as he's accompanied by Sarah Jane, and it is she who realises what's happening and manages to get the Doctor to rescue Jack (who of course he does not recognise) and return him to Cardiff.

Now for [personal profile] watervole's effort:
What did 6 buy 2 for his birthday?

Oliver Marsden would buy Jack Harkness a whip. No, seriously. He's drawn to strong handsome men, and, assuming he's stuck in Cardiff in the 21st century would see Jack as a definite substitute for his lover. His lover (whose name is Vincent Prescot by the way) is a dab hand with a bullwhip.

And finally, [personal profile] hardboiledbaby asked me:
What secret do #11 and #5 share that they don't want #1 to know?

This is a hard one! Captain John Granby and Ianto Jones (who is in the "Temeraire" universe because he got a bit too close that damn Rift) know a secret which has to be kept from Captain Will Laurence.

I think it's probably that they both fancy him – they spend quiet evenings together discussing how beautiful his eyes are and the length of his legs – and then go to bed together because that's the closest either of them can get to what he wants.

What they don't know is that Will would probably go to bed with either or both of them, assuming that Temeraire is looking away and also that they approach him in the right way.
