I’m half hoping to be told tomorrow that I’ve to work from home for the foreseeable – perhaps as long as 12 weeks.

This is a mixed blessing – I don’t much care for working from home, it’s boring and lonely, but I have not one, not two, but three ‘underlying conditions’ which might make coming down with Covid-19 seriously unpleasant. However bored I am, it has to be better than being in hospital on a respirator. Assuming that they even have a respirator for me and don’t decide I’m too fat. I wouldn’t put it past them.

In other news, I don’t think I have any other news. Smokey is ignoring me, and is curled up on her radiator hammock spark out.

I'm REALLY hoping you'll be working from home. You're one of the people I've been most concerned about.

Fandom will keep boredom & loneliness away! We can even arrange Skype or other voice, voice+face sessions for That Human Touch.

The call came sooner than I expected - I was fiddling about on t'internet when my boss phoned me (at home, at 8pm at night) and said to work from home for the next week at least and probably much longer.

I'm going to be relying on fandom to keep me from going stir-crazy!

I don't much care for working from home either but it sounds like the best thing all round for you so I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Well to be fair to them, they are part of the government and therefore were waiting to hear what Boris had to say. As soon as he said to work from home where possible, they were onto the case.

Some of my colleagues can't work from home due to needing to keep up a public service. It's them I'm thinking of.

I so hope everything will work out fine. There are reports tho that some home cats are quite annoyed having their me-time intruded upon. Of course, some think that the world is now complete with their monkey-person at their beck and call.

It really is quite lonely, and with my job there's less to do. But yes, it's the best thing in this situation.

Tuesday, I was sitting on the sofa with my laptop on my lap, and Smokey was intermittently thwacking me with her tail and kicking me with her back legs. Anyone would think it was her sofa.
