On the bright side, hardly anybody lives in "north-east" Canada. Actually hardly anybody lives more than a stone's throw north of the American border, what with the vast majority of our country's land mass having temperatures incompatible with life. On the cloudy side, those people who DO live in north-east Canada are heavily dependent on airplanes and helicopters to keep them supplied, so this could be catastrophic to isolated northern communities.
